Good Bye 2013–You Were The Best!

This year has to be one of my favorites.  We had a lot of fun and welcomed our sweet baby girl.  What a year!

We started the year with Mallorie’s 1st birthday and our annual snow fest with the nieces.

Jeff ran his first half marathon, and ended up running 2 more later in the year.

Noelle had a delicious ice cream party at Farrell’s.

Jeff and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary & later that month had a low key Memorial Day weekend.

I had a wonderful baby shower to welcome Mackenzie and right before she was born, we had one last family barbeque as a family of two.

The big event of the year – Mackenzie was born!

It took a bit to feel comfortable leaving the house with Kenzie, our first trip out was about 6 weeks later to Brea Fest and then the LA County Fair AND the Irvine Pumpkin Patch.

Kenzie celebrated her first Halloween by dressing up as a monster.

We had fun at Thanksgiving, she met Santa and then celebrated her first Christmas!

A Very Merry Christmas

Since we went to bed early(ish) on Christmas Eve, someone was up bright and early Christmas Day.

Before everyone arrived, I opened my present from Kenzie…

A new Kindle!  My old reader was from Borders and out of date.  Shannon came over and added her presents to our tree.  We have 5 very spoiled little girls in our family!

Danny and the girls came over in the morning for some breakfast.

I should note that Kenzie chose Christmas Eve to start sitting up all by herself!  After breakfast, we opened our stockings first.

A Kenzie Christmas Eve

Every year I say I’m going to wrap my Christmas gifts as soon as I buy them.  But here we are again, Christmas Eve and I had a majority of my gifts to wrap.  Thankfully I had a super cute assistant.

Thankfully we finished when the sun was still shining and our tree looked like this…

Before we left to Nana & Tata’s we had to take our yearly picture in front of our tree.  This time Kenzie was joining us!

And some solo ones of Kenzie to remember my baby’s 1st Christmas.

We headed to N & T’s and were one of the first to arrive.  Once everyone showed up and ate (we Solanos take our food seriously) we took some cousin pictures.

We kept adding cousins as they wandered into the room, ha!

Since Kenzie is still so young and has a pretty early bedtime, they let her open her gifts early.  We left around 9pm and headed home to put our little munchkin to bed.
