Kenzie’s first Easter!!

Since she’s experience each holiday for the first time, each one has been so special!  We headed down to my Nana’s and Tata’s for some lunch and our usual egg adventures.

The nieces did an egg on the spoon contest.  How do you know they are all Solanos?  Because half of them cheated and the other half got upset.  Haha!!

Up next were the adults.  I was inside keeping an eye on Kenzie while she napped so I didn’t see the hilarity going on, but I heard it!

Once Kenzie woke up, it was time for the egg hunt.  Jeff and I filled 6 eggs with baby approved treats and hid those around the yard with a big M on them. 

She really didn’t get it but enjoyed the Cheerios and puffs inside.  Kenzie and I decided to sit out during the confetti craziness.  But Jeff did manage to snag one egg to help Kenzie break it on his head.

She was not amused with the confetti eggs.  Happy Easter Kenzie!

I had always planned on getting Kenzie’s pictures done at Picture People.  Fast forward 9 months and I still hadn’t gotten them done.  I made a last minute appointment the day before Easter.  She did pretty good considering they were an hour behind schedule.  Here are some of my favorites.  Heck, they are ALL my favorites!

We plan on going back right before your first birthday, I can’t wait to see how much you’ve changed!

9 Months In, 9 Months Out

Dear Mackenzie,

You, my baby girl, have now officially spent as much time out as you did in.  Here’s a side by side comparison…9 months in to 9 months out.

I still look at you now and can’t believe I carried you around for 9 months.  You are much more fun on the outside!  Your sleep is still all over.  Sometimes you nap 3 times a day for 30 mins, sometimes you take a 2 hour nap.  Bedtime continues to be between 7:30-8pm with a 5:45am wake-up, even on the weekends! 

You had another month of lots of fun.  You visited Grandma Libby at work, hung out with Daddy & Nate while Mommy went to Vanessa’s shower, you went to Marilene’s 1st birthday party and had your first St Patrick’s Day!  You celebrated Mommy’s 33rd birthday the same weekend Daddy completed his first Half Ironman!

It is so fun to see you learn new things, you started to play “catch” and will release the ball to us to toss back to you.  Your top right tooth finally came through, making the tally 4 teeth!!

You are becoming quite the proficient eater and I know you will soon be able to ditch those pureed foods for good!
