New Years Eve

Per our NYE tradition, we headed over to James and Rebecca’s for the evening.  It was funny because we figured out that every year since 2011 one of us has been pregnant and unable to partake in the champagne festivities.

Becca made a cute countdown for the kids to follow to help keep them entertained as the night went on.  The boys loved it!

To kill time in between balloons, we played bowling on their Wii.

We didn’t make it the whole night, I think 10:30 this year.  But we were able to snap a picture before leaving.

Next year, I’m having a glass of champagne!!

Christmas with Libby

We celebrated Christmas with Jeff’s mom Libby and his brothers the weekend after Christmas.  It was low key, just the way I like it!

Libby got a cute baby & stroller for Kenz, she loved pushing it around.

Disney on Ice

This year Crystal got really good tickets for Disney on Ice through her MOPS group.  I decided to leave Kenzie at home and go to spend time with the nieces.  It ended up being a smart decision, the seats were pretty cramped and she would have lost interest during it.  Next year though!

They encouraged people to take pictures so here are some I snapped below.

Christmas Day 2014

One of the things Jeff and I were looking forward to Christmas morning was surprising Kenzie with a present when she came downstairs.  I let Jeff do all the shopping for her and he picked out the BEST present…a Doc McStuffins ball pit.

When she came down, she smiled really big and ran over to it jumping inside without delay.

This year C&C hosted Christmas breakfast, it was perfect.  We headed down there to eat and open gifts with all the nieces.

Before we opened presents, we told all the girls to sit in front of the tree.  Can’t believe next year there is going to be one more little girl to that mix!

Kenzie really enjoyed opening presents this year.  She definitely got the hang of ripping off the wrapping paper.

My sweet little girl was very spoiled again this year.  Hope she enjoyed her last “only child” Christmas!

Babymoon: 2nd Edition

This time around, we planned our babymoon around our normal December trip to San Francisco.  It was a little bit different logistically…it was tagged onto the end of a work trip for me and this time we had Kenzie with us!

We hit a couple of the touristy spots that we thought Kenzie would enjoy.  Pier 39 was on the list to see the decorations and then sea lions.

The day ended up being surprisingly warm and clear enough to see Alcatraz from where we were.

Another day we headed over to the Palace of Fine Arts to feed the ducks.  I love this place, it’s so pretty!

My mom insisted there was a better place to feed the ducks so we walked a short ways and found a quieter place.

It was a relaxing trip, just what we needed before little Avery arrives!
