Avery’s 1st Trip to Disneyland
It’s so funny how everyone says you’ll act differently with your 2nd baby versus your 1st. With Kenzie, we waiting until she was over a year to take her to Disneyland. This time, with Avery, she was barely 3 months!
I made sure to ask for a 1st Visit button when we entered the parking lot and then proudly displayed it on her car seat straps. We decided to take the Monerail in, a first for both girls!
Then we headed into Fantasyland and got in line for Avery’s first real ride.
Shannon stayed with Kenz so Jeff and I could ride with Avery. Next we took a break while Jeff got on Dumbo with Kenz.
It was while Jeff was on this ride we realized that a lady with another baby in an Ergo got on the ride. It gave us a good tip to bring ours next time. We also found a semi private spot behind Dumbo that I could nurse Avery when needed.
Jeff, Shannon and Kenz did the teacups next while Avery and I went into a store.
We made our way to Small World, another Avery friendly ride. One of the cast members afterwards told us we could even have taken Avery on in her car seat if we wanted.
We went on Pooh and Friends, which probably overstimulated poor Bean. Oops!
We went into the store right by the exit of the ride to see if they really got rid of their chocolate covered pretzels…they did. But they did have some really nice 60th Anniversary treats!
We did a few more things and then headed out when it started to get crowded. All in all, it was a very successful 1st trip for Avery!
And some late pictures of Jeff & Kenz meeting the princesses on a different trip.

Baseball Time
Each year my company holds an annual softball tournament between the southern CA offices. Last year Jeff played but this year we just spectated.
Kenzie was able to see her buddy Lexi there. I love that she had a friend to play with.
This year they had a Taco Guy, we ate lunch and then headed home. It was getting hot!
Little Chef
Over the weekend, Jeff was making breakfast and decided to let Kenzie help him.
Hopefully she becomes as good as Jeff so if he ever wants to stop cooking, she can pick up right where he left off!

Backyard Bonfire
Last summer, Danny did a lot of bonfires in the backyard with the older nieces. Since our evenings are still cool enough for a fire, I invited myself over to make smores.
Let’s just say, now that I’m a mom with a clumsy almost 2 year old, open fire pits are not so much fun anymore! Ha!
But we did enjoy our yummy smores!
Niecie Trip!
I don’t know what kind of zen mood Jeff was in this weekend…but he got up bright and early and took the big girl nieces to Disneyland on Sunday! He even bought them donuts!
I stayed home with Bean.
Since Disneyland had been so packed this weekend, they went to California Adventure first. They ended up going on 9 rides in just a few hours. Not bad!!
I cannot believe he took my sweet baby on that huge ferris wheel! The view from the top.
The big girls went on the swings. Jeff was even organized enough to get them fast passes to go on the new Cars ride.
While Jeff was at Disneyland, Shannon, Bean and I had our own fun. We went to the movies! Bean did great, she slept in Auntie’s arms for half the movie.
Back at home after our fun morning out!

Avery 3 Months
Dear Avery,
Three months big girl! No longer a “newborn”.
This month was a big month! Lots of changes. The big one, Mommy went back to work and you joined sister full time at Aunty Sarah’s. It just so happened to be the same time Lexi, another litter girl was at Aunty Sarah’s. Three kiddos! You do great though and still sleep most of the time.
Speaking of sleep, you actually slept through the night for the first time! You haven’t recreated that night yet, but your 1 wake up isn’t too bad.
You had the rest of your 6 week shots and did great. You had a really bad case of eczema but thankfully it has calmed down. While you are doing good, Mommy’s check ups are so great. Her blood pressure is a little high so I have to go for a lot of follow ups till it’s down.
You are growing and eating a ton! You moved up from 3oz bottles to 4oz bottles. Mommy started eating lactation cookies to keep up. That and c’mon, their cookies!
We celebrated Mommy’s second Mother’s Day. It was a great time! Mommy even was able to go for a run that morning.
I love you sweet girl!
