Texting Pro

Hailey is a technology savvy 2 year old.

She knows how to unlock my phone and apparently send texts to #MIN.

She must have been really excited and talking in code.  And apparently she knows how to spell “dogcatcher”.  Hopefully she wasn’t talking about Chloe.

Meanwhile our car is at the dealership getting the seats switched out.  Hopefully Chloe is as comfortable on leather!

Sidewalk Artists

{My phone finally sent the pictures!!}

The other day the nieces came over and took their creativity outside.  Kalea didn’t want to draw anything but had fun coloring in Aunty Shannon’s pictures.

Brooklyn drew a number of things, including this HUGE and CUTE butterfly!

She took her time coloring it and even signed it like every good artist.

While Kalea turned circles and “accidentally” rubbed out Brooklyn’s butterfly by running through it.

Shannon and I both told her to leave it alone but you can see the total contemplation on how much she could erase before she got caught.

Memorial Weekend Fun

We originally had plans to pack up the car and drive down to the local park to barbeque and be outside.  Unfortunately the crazy wind and dirty tables caused us to change our plans.

No worries, we moved the picnic to our house.

The nieces spent time with each other while we started cooking the hot dogs and hamburgers.

Finally it was time to eat.  We had hot dogs, hamburgers, green salad, corn on the cob, watermelon, and pineapple.  Everything was so good and Kalea enjoyed 3rds!! of watermelon.

Since the girls had a lot of pent up energy, we moved the party outside.  In preparation to going to El Prado, we had bought the girls each their own bouncy ball.  I brought out only one and should have known better.

After the initial yells of “share” we got out the other 2 bouncy balls for the girls to enjoy.

And even took the balls on the slide with them.

Kalea eventually got tired and laid down.

It was so windy, it was considered windy enough to fly a kite.

And then it was bubble time!

It was such a long day that Chloe pooped out.  She was even too tired to hold her own head up.  Smile

No worries Chloe, I got you.  Winking smile

Mt Baldy–Tour de California

I’m thoroughly p-o’d at my phone right now.  I took some cute pictures on it but for some reason they are not transferring to my computer when I email them.

No worries, I was able to receive the pictures that Jeff and his friend took when they played homeless for the night.

Jeff and his friends positioned themselves in the perfect spot to see riders coming and going.  They were fortunate enough to find a spot to turn off and park.  The people next to them had a pop up for shade and there was even a flat spot for a small tent.

Up at the booth area, Dustin tried on the biker’s display helmet.  I think his parents have a future Tour rider on their hands!

Their view was so pretty.  A lot different than it looks in the winter.  All that green!

Here the riders come!

Jeff was trying to explain that the spectators get crazy during the race.  They dress up in costumes and will literally run right next to the cyclists screaming and yelling.

Yes, that is a man in a diaper.

Jeff had a great time.  I think he plans on going next year, just hopefully not in a crazy costume!

Hanging Out

Like any other dog, Chloe loves to stick her head outside the window when it’s down.

Chloe9

The only difference is I’m pretty sure that one of these days, Chloe’s going to see a squirrel or rabbit and jump right out of the car.  Parked or moving, it won’t matter.

Case in point, Jeff let her out just now to do her business and instead of staying right next to us, she took off across the street to the nearest kid she saw.  Not cool Chloe, not cool.

So glad it’s a 3 day weekend!  Chloe’s already celebrating by having a friend over.  Smile
