Disneyland With The Nieces

Our day started like this...


And ended like this...



Our morning started off a little shaky.  At 8:24am I got a text from someone at work letting me know the morning report was not filtering correctly.  Of course it was on my weekend in charge.  I had to get on the computer and run/filter/send a new report.  All in all their morning started at 8:44 instead of 8:00am.  Oh well.

After the report gone wrong, Shannon and I went to see Hailey in her gymnastics class.  She is more comfortable this time around since it was her second 'semester'.  She's so cute and always so energetic.  No pics because apparently if you use your flash, a kid could die!  Seriously, Shannon got scolded by a teacher last class session.

We came home from the gymnastics class and Danny & the girls came over.  Today the CVFD in Butterfield was having an open house.  We got there about 1/2 an hour before they closed and got to do a few of their activities for the girls.  Brooklyn posed with the Dalmatian firefighter character (Kalea started crying when we tried to get her to take a picture.)

After that Brooklyn and Kalea both climbed into the fire truck and explored the back seat.  Brooklyn noticed that some kids were running back and forth and playing with a fire hose.  They had set up a mini obstacle course for some of the older kids and Brooklyn was willing to try because she really wanted to shoot the hose at the end.

The first thing she needed to do was to run down with the hose to the burning house.

Then she and one of the firefighters hosed the burning house.



Then she had to run back to the start rescuing the body.

She earned a cute little doggy pin and got one for her sister as well.  We then went into the actual firehouse where they store the trucks.  They gave the girls some Halloween trick or treat bags and some coloring books with crayons.  They had a pumpkin carving contest and some of them were really cute.  They had a firetruck and one with a breathing tub in it's mouth.

After the firehouse we ended up going to Disneyland with Chad and Crystal and the baby nieces.  We got there right before them and stood in line for the bobsleds.  We made our way over to the pizza place by space mountain and enjoyed a yummy dinner.  We were luck enough to be sitting right where Mickey and Minnie made a guest appearance.  Chad & Crystal got in line twice! and took some cute pictures.

When then headed over to Small World and Noellie rode with her Aunty and Uncle.  She was so cute and enjoyed looking at all the lights and dolls.  When we were lining up to get on the boat, the lady asked how many in our group and Crystal responded 5 1/2.  So cute!

The carousal was last and then we split up and went our separate ways.  Jeff and I hit a couple of stores looking for Kalea's Halloween costume but they were sold out.  We left around 8:30pm and are now ready to go to sleep.  Night!
