If we thought shopping for a Christmas tree 9 days before Christmas was bad, try buying one only 7 days before Christmas.
Shannon, Danny, the girls and Jeff & I trudged over to Home Depot for a look…in the rain. Before we even looked at the trees, the girls saw a Santa’s sleigh and insisted on taking pictures.
Then we convinced them it was time to look at trees. We did a quick walk through and seriously there were maybe 10 trees in the 6ft-7ft height, and they were looking pretty poor. Dare I say, Charlie Brownish?
However, we found two mini gems hidden and decided to get those for Danny and Shannon.
While we were waiting for them to pay, Brooklyn showed off her hop-scotch skills. I asked her who taught her and she proclaimed she just knew how. Uh sure kid, you were born with those skills. :)

We delivered the goods and are now getting ready for Christmas dinner with Jeff’s family. I’m hoping we can convince them to do PJ dress code like we do at my Nana’s house. Not sure it’s going to fly though. ;)
