For awhile Jeff and I have been trying to get to the Farmer’s Market in SF to enjoy the samples of local grown fruits and vegetables.
I thought the concept of free food might appeal to B & K so had planned on spending our morning enjoying the atmosphere.
It was really cold outside in the front of the ferry building so we decided to start by going through the shops on the inside.
Our first stop was Miette. I <3 Miettes. Their baked goods are so good and hard to find something similar. I also had to pick up a thank you gift for Shannon.
Since the first stop was for the girls, the next stop was for the boys.
Cone of meat anyone???
It was about this time that I realized the girls were NOT enjoying themselves. I guess when you are 3 and 5 and forced to walk in a crowded group, being offered Indian food and olive oil – it may not be the experience of a lifetime.
To entice the girls to keep walking we moved on to Recchint’s, a specialty chocolate store.
Grandma Ama picked out the S’more Bites for the girls, but I’m going to try to steal a bite.
There are so many different stores, I wish we had more time to slowly walk through it all.
When it got to be too much for the girls (i.e. MELTDOWN CITY) we headed outside for some ferry views.
We said good bye to the Ferry Building and then headed over to Ghirardelli Square. Where we did NOT have an ice cream sundae. It was crowded and the girls were tired so we bought some candy and headed down to Fisherman’s Wharf for a quick stop before heading home.
Once we came back home, the girls decompressed and were in a better mood. Kalea even let Brooklyn do her make up.
Doesn’t she look pretty?
We are relaxing now waiting for dinner. I’ve already started to warn the girls that it’s their last night here are we are heading home tomorrow. Can’t wait to see Chloe!!
