When In Vegas

Jeff and I went to Vegas to attend James & Rebecca's wedding. We stayed at the Rio and attended their wedding at Victoria's Chapel. The reception was fun and the food was yummy! The cake of course was delicious. (pictures to come)

Afterwards Jeff and I stood stand by for tickets at the Hollywood Theater in MGM for the Jabawokeez. We got 3rd row and the seats were great! We had a ton of fun, and a couple of expensive drinks. Now we are home and resting. Only 2 more weeks until our cruise!

Almost...

Jeff and I almost booked a trip to the Atlantis in the Bahamas. They are having a KILLER deal where you get the 4th night free, free companion airfare and $650 worth of activities-good ones! Alas we decided against it. We have our cruise already planned and decided to see how our pocketbook feels after that trip.

Paige's 1st Communion

Paige completed her 1st communion on Saturday, May 1st. She had a little party after the church ceremony and took some cute pictures. Congrats Paige!

Surprise!

Last night we went to have dinner at the Chart House to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We sat near the ocean window and got a clear view of the water and sunset. They gave us our own custom menus with "Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Loyd" as a little souviner. We enjoyed our yummy dinner and were even able to take home our left over wine. Jeff surprised me with a replica of the top tier of our wedding cake. It was sssoooo good and we took home the leftovers. YUM!




This morning we went and picked up Chloe from Shannon's. She was super excited to see us and proceeded to wiggle until we let her out of her cage. She gave me a couple of licks and then proceeded to WASH Jeff's face. Now she is crashed on the floor sleeping with her new teddy bear.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary

To My Jeff...Thank you for an awesome first year of marriage. You are a great partner and friend and I love you very much.

Today we woke up and walked over to Rubys for some yummy breakfast. After that we came back and hung out at the hotel, watching some TV and then sitting on the balcony and watching the sea lions and boats.


We drove by the Chart House around 10:30am to see if we could get someone to take our picture on the beach. However, when we got there, everything was locked up! We couldn't even get on the sand. We'll have to ask someone when we go back for dinner.




Next we went to a surf shop for some slippers for Jeff (is this going to be a tradition???) and then a pet store for our Chloe girl. We had lunch at The Bluewater Grill (where we had our rehersal dinner at) and were stuffed. We walked back to the hotel and had plans to rent a boat and go around the marina but I threw those plans out the window when I fell asleep and took a nap. Now we are going to have a cocktail downstairs and then get ready for our dinner at the Chart House.

Day 364

Only one more day of newleyweddedness (is that a word???). We have checked into the Chart House and are still deciding on dinner. This hotel is so nice and peaceful. The rooms are pretty and we got upgraded to the 2nd floor instead of the ground floor. Right out our sliding door are the sea lions that were there last time, barking and splashing in the water. The only thing that would make it perfect would be if Chloe were here, sniffing and wagging her tail. I miss you Chloe! Aunty Shannon better be taking very good care of you!
