Kenzie’s 1st Trip to Disneyland

Our big surprise for Kenzie for her 1st birthday was to take her to Disneyland.  Unfortunately, since she was so sick, we had to postpone our trip.  Finally in September, we were able to head to Anaheim to introduce her to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Once we were there, we stopped for some pictures to commemorate her first trip.  Unfortunately they didn’t have any “1st Visit” buttons at city hall.  She was a little unsure about everything but overall did okay.

The sun was out and it was H-O-T.  We also went during Kenzie’s regularly scheduled nap time so we knew we were on borrowed time. 

A couple of days later we headed to Disneyland again, it was hot again and I was still in a lot of discomfort from my ER visit the day before.  We didn’t stay long but were able to see some of the Halloween decorations that they started to put up.

 

We’re hoping to go back in October once the decorations are completed!

August Catch Up

We had a fun time in Laughlin, not as much as usually due to the rain and lightening but we have big plans for 2016.

  

 

 

While we were vacationing, my cousin welcomed her second baby…a BOY into the world.

The next week we headed to Vegas for a work conference and Jeff and Kenzie joined me.  She loved hanging out with Jeff for 3 days straight.  They came up 1 day after me, this was the first night I had ever been away from Kenzie since bringing her home…it was sad but man that king sized bed to myself was NNNIIICCCEEE!  Jeff and Kenzie went all over, the Hoover Dam, the Mandalay Bay Aquarium, the Venetian pool…everywhere!

  

We celebrated Brooky & Kalea’s 9th and 7th birthdays at my aunts house with a Hawaiian pool party and then the next day went to my friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party.  It was a bday weekend.

Kenzie went to her 2nd Brea Fest and this time had more fun since she was able to stay awake and sample the yummy food. 

My work had a bowling night that we all went to – my team lost but Kenzie won over everyone’s hearts.

And the big event of the month…Jeff finished the Disneyland Dumbo Dare.  He ran the 10k on Saturday and then the Half Marathon on Sunday.  If you’re unsure what that means…he ran 19.3 miles in two days.  He said it was a blast!  So proud of him!

And with that…we are all caught up!!  Whew!

July Catch Up

One more monthly catch up – but this time I finally bought a new camera battery!

We celebrated Kenzie’s first 4th of July and then had Libby over later that weekend.

  

Mackenzie celebrated her first birthday…with her first real illness.  She was out for the count the whole week.  It was a miserable 1st birthday for my baby.

  

My mom came down just in time when Kenzie started to feel better.  We had Kenzie’s 1st birthday party later that week and announced the exciting news of our newest baby Loyd on their way. 

 

 

I had my second prenatel visit which was too early to hear the heartbeat so they let us see it!  This was a very sweet surprise since Jeff and Kenzie were there too.

At the very end of the month we packed up the car to head to Laughlin with the whole family.  Pictures to come!
