Three for the last time

I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I last posted.  It has been a long and crazy week and yes, Mackenzie is home!!  I didn’t get to post the below before we headed to the hospital so bear with me…more Mackenzie info to come soon!!

One of the last things I wanted to do while it was just Jeff & I was to go out to breakfast.  I knew it would be awhile until we could go out to a restaurant so Jeff searched for local places and we found Molly’s Souper.  The best thing, it was dog friendly so Chloe came along!

We headed out on Sunday and were seated on the patio.  Chloe did such a good job and just chilled under the table.

We each ordered or meals and got Chloe her own special dog meal to enjoy.

The meal was pretty good and of course we loved that it was dog friendly.  We’ll definitely be back once Kenz is old enough to go out.

But for now, it was just the 3 of us!

Dancing Mackenzie

Since it’s our last day of just Jeff & I, we are playing it low key all day.

In the mean time, here’s a little video of Mackenzie moving around in the evening.  It’s not much but something I want to remember in the future.

Enjoy!

Mackenzie’s Room

It’s done!  With Mac’s arrival just around the corner, here is a sneak peek of her room.  This is the view from the door.

The rocking chair was passed down on Jeff’s side of the family.  It was the one that Jeff was rocked in when he was a newborn.

And the picture that started it all.  We aren’t sure little Mac will truly know what kind of a big deal she is.  Jeff and I have been on our own for so long, she’s going to truly change our lives.  Smile

One final bump picture…38 weeks and 6 days.

See you sooner than later Mackenzie!

Our Independence Celebration

Yesterday we headed down to my Aunt and Uncle’s to celebrate Independence Day.

We started the afternoon off with some pool time.

And then had a delicious barbecue that Jeff cooked for us!

Once it got later in the evening, we headed over to my Dad’s to do some fireworks and cook some smores.  A perfect way to spend our last holiday without K.

(All pictures are Crystal’s since my camera is packed and ready to go for K’s delivery!)

TinMan Triathlon

Jeff has been focused on getting back into Tri shape recently.  There was a local sprint tri by us so he signed up last minute and ended up racing Sunday morning!

He sent me the below pic of his gear all set up in transition.

He was telling me the race ended up starting 20 minutes late because of a traffic accident that the pulled the police away from the race for a bit.

The race was a reverse sprint so it started with the run portion, then bike, then swim.  He finished in about 1:21:38.  The local rotary club put on the race and he said they did an overall nice job.  There were 2 water stops on the run and 3 water stops on the bike.

When he got home I made him pose with his medal.

So proud of the husband for waking up early and heading out in the heat.  Nice job babe!!
