As the expiration day of our passes grows closer…Jeff and I finally used our last parking pass and made it a day at Disneyland yesterday.
We got there pretty early and head straight to Star Tours. I stood in line while Jeff ran to get fast passes for Space Mountain.
We made it on the first two rides within an hour! Pretty good considering Star Tours is one of the main attractions right now. Doesn’t Jeff look thrilled I’m taking his picture???
By 9:40 am, we decided to walk on over to California Adventure to wait for the park to open and run to Toy Story Mania. Every time we’ve tried to go on this ride, we’ve been met with 90+ minute waits. We figured, how long could it be if we got there when the park first opened.
We should have known we were in trouble when we walked up to the gates and they were already letting people in the park 20 minutes before it officially opened. We headed to Soarin to grab fast passes before making our wait to Toy Story.
The park had the pier walking back to Toy Story closed off until 10. So me and my 100 of my closest friends had to wait.
You can see the Cars’ land being built in the background.
As soon as the clock turned 10 am, they started letting people file onto the pier. Jeff was saying probably half the people would hit the roller coaster and maybe the rest go to Toy Story. It ended up that like 80% of the people headed straight to Toy Story. Oh well, we only had to wait about 20 minutes.
Guess who one…yeah, Jeff. He was actually the high score in our car but the picture didn’t come out so well.
We headed over to the roller coaster next and had a moment where it “broke down”. I whipped out the camera only for the ride to lurch forward when I snapped the picture. Here is Jeff and my right eyeball.
Ever since they opened up the new Little Mermaid ride, I’ve been wanting to go on it. But it was either closed or we didn’t have enough time until now.
The old San Francisco Exploratorium was converted to the ride. You can see the after picture above and the before picture below.
And for kicks, the real one in SF.
Back to the ride. It was only a 5 minute wait and loads the same way Haunted Mansion does.
The rest are from inside the ride. It was really cute and the pictures are just meh because I’m a rule follower and don’t use my flash.
We headed over to Disneyland and went on more rides. We were able to get in a total of 12 rides.
- Star Tours
- Space Mountain
- Toy Story
- Screamin
- Little Mermaid
- Soarin
- Tower of Terror
- Indiana Jones
- Big Thunder Railroad
- Pirates
- Haunted House
- Splash Mountain (where we BARELY got wet. On a hot day, we felt cheated.)
We called it a day around 3:30 pm since we were tired and my legs were killing me (they were still sore from the previous day’s run.)
Thank you for the fun day my love!
