Shoes and Vests

We had 2 goals to accomplish today.

  1. Buy water shoes for Brooklyn and Kalea
  2. Buy life jackets for B & K

Glad to say, done and done!!

Our first stop was Sport Chalet.  Jeff and I had bought our water shoes there and were hoping they still had some in stock for the girls.  Thankfully, they had a ton there.

Unfortunately the life vests were a bit pricey at Sport Chalet so we decided to head over to…

Sorry Danny…don’t be jealous.  You may want to skip the next pictures if you want to be “surprised” for your inaugural visit.

The store is HUGE!  It has so many outdoor supplies they girls enjoyed walking around.  We first headed straight to the fish tank they have and spent some time admiring the catfish.

We then walked to find the vests for the girls.  Throughout the store, they had stuffed animals everywhere and fake animal tracks in the floor.  The girls got a kick out of looking at the animals and following the tracks.

As soon as they saw the vests, Brooklyn honed in on the one Princess vest we saw and declared she had to have it.  Thank goodness it was in her size.  Of course, Kalea seeing it, wanted one too.  We took some time checking and sure enough, they had one in her size too.

The last two princess vests for a couple of princesses.

Uncle Jeff then dragged us to go check out the boats.  They had pontoon boats that allowed people to get on them to check them out.  Admittedly they were pretty cool and Jeff looks pretty good sitting in the driver’s seat.  Smile

Next we walked over to the camping section and found a perfect tent for Jeff and I.  Too bad I’m not a camper.

One last visit with the fish and we called it a day.

We ended up dropping by to visit the cousins and Crystal was kind enough to cook us dinner.  ALL OF US.  It was very sweet of her and we are very thankful to have them close to us.

We called it a night around 8:30 pm and made the 1/2 mile walk home.

First day of vacation = awesomesauce!!
