Jeff is pretty familiar with the trails in Chino Hills State Park. For awhile he’s been wanting to take me hiking. Monday was open so we headed out after breakfast.
We started on the Chino Hills side and made the steep climb in. As soon as it began to level off, Jeff turned to the left to go up a trail.
The hike up wasn’t too bad and the view was nice. On the way down we passed Jeff’s nemesis. Thankfully we made it by without any issues. The count is now Jeff 1, Cactus 1.
On our way out of the park, Jeff spotted a hole with something interesting inside.
See it? Maybe now?
Yep, that would be a rattlesnake. In fact, 2 rattlesnakes.
I about nearly lost my mind when Jeff asked for a stick.
