What kind of birthday does an 18 year old ask for? A Hello Kitty party of course!
Ashley had a full Hello Kitty themed party complete with kitty piñata, cake and jumper. The younger kiddos especially enjoyed the jumper and were more than happy to jump in there first.
While the kiddies (and Daniel) burned off their breakfast, the rest of us sat around at the cutely decorated tables.
Noellie entertained us with her adorableness.
She also showed off her new skills of picking her nose.
After a bit, dinner was served. They had 2 kinds of pasta, salad and bread. Dinner was so good! I cleared my plate and ate Hailey’s left over bread.
There were games to be played; Pin the bow on the kitty and How well do you know Ashley.
By now it was getting cold and it was time to beat up the cat…er…time for the piñata.
The little kiddies went first. Hey Hey…
Kia…
Brooklyn…
Sam…It was actually really funny when Sam went up. He was super pumped and ready to hit that piñata. His older sisters were reminding him not to let go of the bat even before the blindfold went on him. His first swing was a fast one that he let go with one hand. As as he did that the crowd on his left dispersed quite quickly, just in case he let go with both hands.
Paige…
After giving the kids a chance, the birthday girl went, followed by her BFF who ended up breaking the piñata.
Of course, as soon as the piñata breaks, everyone rushed to get their candy. Crystal is on the ground to the right, Chad right in front. And do you see Brooklyn???
Maybe now???
There was a mini meltdown when everyone crowded the candy and Brooklyn was left behind. I showed her that if she got down on the ground she was small enough to grab candy between people’s legs. While I was showing her, Kalea was also having a meltdown until my aunt showed her the same thing.
Hailey was able to enjoy a whole piece of Kit Kat to herself. Something she typically doesn’t get to indulge in. And I may have also slipped her some M&M’s later that night. What? I said MAY HAVE.
By now it was time for cake, ice cream and presents.
The cake was purchased from the same bakery that Ashley's parents had their wedding cake made. The cake was moist and light with a yummy lemony frosting in the middle. It’s one of my favorites! Although I’m slightly partial to Torrance Bakery.
Ashley got a ton of great gifts! Hope you had a great birthday Ashley!
