Old McTom Had a Farm

Awhile back Crystal emailed us about Tom’s Farm and their family fun days during the weekend.  Since my mom was out here, we decided to head down there for the day to check it out.  Tom’s Farm is only about 20-30 minutes away and a relatively easy drive during the weekend.

The first place we hit up when we arrived…the candy store!  Ha!

We then made our way to the little park/ride area.  They had a band playing some live music and a nice little fountain.  I was actually trying to figure out how to convince one of the nieces this was a pool when my mom pointed out the “no swimming” sign.  Drats.

The first second stop…the carousal.

I love the picture below because if you look in the mirror, you can see Brooklyn’s and Kalea’s smiley faces!  Click the picture for a larger view.

The next stop was the little train.  For some reason, I ended up all by myself – no worries, more room for me to stretch out.

The little train starts by going through an “Amish style bridge”.

Not sure why it’s classified as Amish, maybe the buggies?  Then we did a loop around some wilderness.

We saw a deer and a buffalo.  And unpictured, an elephant, cow and a semi truck.  So random.

One more time through Amishville and that completed the lamest train ride ever.

A final stop for the day included the mines.

All four girls had a set up and took turns rinsing their trays for their treasures.

I think Noelle would have been a millionaire if she hadn’t kept throwing her gold back into the dirty water.

After the farm, we headed over to Wood Ranch for some lunch and then home for the night.  It was great to spend time with the family!
