July 4th Fun

The best way to beat the heat?  Hanging out in the pool!

This 4th of July holiday, we all went down to my Aunt and Uncle’s house to enjoy some time in their pool and a yummy barbeque. 

As soon as we arrived, everyone changed into their swimsuits and lathered on the sunscreen.

  

It was as we were changing the girls that we realized the middle nieces were twins!  It was actually pretty funny since their 4th of July outfits were also matching!  Matching tanks and matching bathing suits.  So cute!

 

 

Once everyone was changed and SPF’d we headed outside to enjoy the warm water. 

Noellie had one small hiccup when she bumped her head.  No worries, she was fine after a few seconds. 

 

And then it was back in the pool!

 

There were some breaks for some snacks. 

 

Then more of this…

It was pretty funny.  Right when Danny would jump out of the water, Kalea would urge Hailey to get out so they wouldn’t get splashed.  Then as soon as he hit the water they would get back in.

We enjoyed a dinner of pulled pork sandwiches, pasta salad, potato salad, jello and chili beans.

For dessert, Jeff and I made a trifle of angel food cake, strawberries, blueberries and cool whip.  There were also brownie stars and lemon drop cookies. 

 

At the end of the night, Noelle was pooped!

 

We had plans on watching the firework show from their house but I have to admit I was a party pooper and begged Jeff to head home early. 

It was a fun day with the family!!
