It is only day 1 of 2012 and it is already a busy year!!
Our day started off with us sleeping in until 9 am. We were tired and I woke up dehydrated and sore from our run the day before. The husband made breakfast and then we started cleaning up the house.
Every year we have a seafood New Year celebration and this year was no different. Shannon was the first over, and brought calamari, egg rolls and dumplings. Pretty good for being all frozen.
Once everyone arrived we sat down to teriyaki steak, rice, crab, musubis, shrimp, clam dip and chips…basically a ton of food. That I forgot to snap a picture of.
The nieces played while I napped off my food coma.
Doesn’t it look like I got the girls mid-trouble in the picture below?
With Brooklyn’s E-Z Bake Oven, she made red velvet cupcakes with strawberry frosting. She made just enough and wanted to bring them for the party. Six years old and already gets the hang of a potluck.
Since Chad’s birthday is in 2 days, we had cake for him.
Obviously Chad has some help blowing out his 29 birthday candles. Last birthday in his 20’s!
After cake, Noelle hung out with Kalea and contemplated future investing.
And my dad played with our fur daughter.
Happy New Year everyone! Hope your day started 2012 in an epic way!
