Triathlon Training

Jeff went balls to the wall today. 

Yesterday marked the start of Jeff’s triathlon training.  There are 4 different distances of tri’s; Sprint, Olympic, Half Ironman, Ironman.  Since Jeff was already doing Sprint distances on the bike and run, he opted for an Olympic training plan.

On today’s schedule:

  • 300 meter swim
  • 3 mile run

What Jeff actually did:

  • 300 meter swim
  • 5 MILE RUN

It’s my fault.  But first, Jeff went on his 3 mile run and pushed himself to see how good he could do.  He did awesome!  He finished the run in just over 30 minutes and ran the whole way. 

Back to it being my fault.  I may have mentioned only wanting to run 1 mile today but actually planned on running 2.  Jeff being the good husband he is, went along with me right after finishing his run.  (Yes it says a 2 mile walk but rest assured, it was a walk/run…long story.)

After running we had dinner at Chipotle and froyo from Golden Spoon.  Ah, if only we could always celebrate with froyo after a run…
