2011 NHRA Finals

Before we headed out to Target and Home Depot, we made a pit stop at Crystal’s to pick up a special treat.  She had made cake pops and let us grab one for the older nieces.  They turned out so cute and I knew Brooky & Kalea would love them.

Moving on to our errands – I don’t know if it’s a full moon tonight or what, but we had BAD service today.  What is going on???

We made our way to Target first to return the damaged bunk bed.  What a hassle!  After 30 mins on the phone with the rep, it was finally figured out enough to return the damaged bed, but I feel this bunk bed debacle is not over yet.

Since we were in the area, we made the short walk over to Bath and Body Works for some soap.  As soon as we walked in, they had a greeter at the door.  The greeter was texting, looked up when we walked in, made eye contact and then looked down to finish her text.  Without saying hello, welcome, or something similar.  After the hassle we had at Target, Jeff and I just looked at each other and shook our heads.

Since we were in need of a pick me up (not really but it was our excuse) we decided to have some pho for lunch.

One small bowl of pho tai please!  So good.

We then headed over to Home Depot to walk through their Christmas decorations (love) and pick up more paints swatches for downstairs.  We are having a hard time deciding on a color and wanted some more variety.

Throughout the day, I was checking Twitter for NHRA updates.  The finals were today and since we couldn’t make it out there in person we had to rely on tweets.  Guess who won Top Fuel Championship???

Yep, our neighborhood drag racer!

This was Del Worsham’s first career World Championship!  And in case you were wondering, the Funny Car World Championship went to Matt Hagan.

Jeff just took credit for Del Worsham’s win.  Something about him being good luck and Del’s team should hire him to travel with them.
