For the last couple of years, Jeff and I have passed out candy to the kids in our neighborhood. This year, Jeff had something else in mind.
Monday night football had the Chargers playing. Since our friend is a fan, Jeff made barbeque plans with her and her hubby to watch the game and cook some meat…in the motor court.
Yep, you read the right. Instead of just cooking the meat on the patio and eating inside the house, Jeff and James literally set up a eating/tv watching station outside.
Since the pumpkins were lining the driveway, people were running into the motor court for candy. Jeff even made me turn off all the downstairs lights so people wouldn’t hit up our front door and instead keep walking to the motor court.
It got really busy later in the evening and the food was yummy! But maybe, just maybe, next year we move the party into the house where it’s a little warmer?
