This afternoon we all got together to celebrate Vanessa and baby Cradit.
Vanessa and Doug decided not to find out the gender of their “poppy” before birth, so the shower was all things baby instead of pink or blue.
Once everyone had arrived, we dug into the lunch spread. They had spring rolls, two types of noodles and fried rice. It was so good, I especially loved the spring rolls.
After lunch we played a few games…
And then it was time for presents. Vanessa received some really cute gifts. Lots of yellow and duckies but some gender specific items. You could tell which family members were pulling for a baby girl or a baby boy.
The party ended on a sweet note…cake. Vanessa got her cake from the same bakery that her mom and dad had their wedding cake from. It was delicious and such a sweet tradition. Cute story: Vanessa and Doug told her parents they were pregnant with a cake. It had “Honey Bunches + Oats = 3” on it. So cute.
And for the favors, cake pops! Ashley and Crystal made them and they were good! (Yes, I already ate mine.)
I’ve been going back and forth on what I think Vanessa is having. I started off with girl, and then for awhile thought it was a boy, but now…I really think Vanessa is having a girl! Guess I’ll just need to be patient. See you January 5th Baby Cradit.
