Turkey Dinner Part 2

A couple of weeks back, I got it into my mind that we needed Thanksgiving leftovers this year.  Since we usually celebrate at my Nana’s, we never take home any of the extra food.  I mentioned it to Jeff who was down for the long day of cooking and our second Thanksgiving dinner happened.

Jeff likes to brine his turkey for hours before cooking.  Don’t worry, the bucket was clean!

Everyone arrived while the turkey was finishing cooking.

While we waited for dinner to finish, the older nieces played dress up…

And finally, the turkey was done!

My plate…stuffing, biscuit, turkey, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole.  All so good.

I don’t know if it was the run the earlier that morning or just the turkey, but we were all tired and ready for a nap by 6pm!  Even Chloe was pooped!

Everyone headed home just before 7pm with, yes, leftover turkey!  Leftover success!

Today we are taking it easy with only one thing on our to do list:  Decorate!
