I originally started running in an attempt to lose weight. Eventually what started as a chore became something I enjoyed. I have more “good” runs than bad runs and Jeff & I were able to complete our first 5k.
Tonight I was supposed to run 3 miles but cut it down to 2. I felt guilty for cutting my mileage and mentally told myself, if I was going to do 2 miles I was going to run it fast.
2 miles in 21:47. That’s a 10:53 min/mile pace!!
So, I started running to lose weight. I run now to prove to myself that I can do it, faster and farther than I did in high school.
