Happy Valentine’s Day!

Jeff and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early.  We have been wanting to go to the Blue Bayou at Disneyland for awhile and decided to celebrate there.

We got up early this morning and hit the road a little after 8am.

We walked through Downtown Disney and ate some breakfast before going into the park.  Downtown Disney has Valentine’s Day entertainment all weekend long.  **Sidenote:  Jeff and I always pick the most busy days to go to Disneyland.

Some new changes have been made to the Resort since we’ve been last.  They no longer have the CALIFORNIA sign outside California Adventure.  In fact they entrance was complete closed off and they were funneling people through the side.  :/

Instead of the CALIFORNIA sign, they had an temporary sign replicating the old Disneyland sign.  It changed from the letters to different pictures of guests from the park.

Inside the park, they had Valentine decorations also!

We went straight to Space Mountain but after waiting in line for 20 minutes, the ride broke down.  They gave us the option to wait it out or leave.  We bailed.  The guy that came around hinted it was going to be a while and we decided to spend time on rides versus waiting in line for a broken one.

We walked over to the Astro Blasters where Jeff proceeded to “blast” me away with his score.  Boo.

After, we walked over to Haunted House and then Pirates.

After Pirates, it was time for our reservation.  We originally had planned on going tomorrow but when Jeff called earlier this week, they were already booked!  While we were waiting, we heard the hostess telling another guest that they were booked through Tuesday and were only taking walk-ins when there were cancellations!

Valentine’s Lunch

We were seated in the second row from the water.  This was the closest we’ve been and were able to see the boats launch and then pass by.  I love the whole vibe of the restaurant.  The lights are low and the music reminds of your New Orleans.

We both ordered the pomegranate lemonade to drink.  It was good but after we got it we realized it was diet.  Meh.  Jeff ordered the Monte Cristo and I got the crab cakes.  Both were so good that we finished our meal before getting a picture.
