Congratulations Andrew!!
Graduation season is in full swing! Last night Jeff and I attended Calvary Baptist’s Graduation ceremony.
It was a beautiful evening to send off some seniors into the world! Andrew’s school is a small K-12 Christian school and the evening included the graduating Kindergarten class, 8th graders and of course…the SENIORS!
(Before we continue I have to apologize for the photos. The room was pretty dark and we were about midway back. Lots of the eyes were washed out and there are some interesting floating orbs in the below picture.)
There he is!! Andrew Douglas Hayes!!
The first ones to walk in the room were the little kids, then the 8th graders and now….
THE SENIORS!
Andrew was selected by the administration as senior class representative. It was a pretty nice honor and came with a pretty cool role later in the ceremony.
When his name was called, he walked across the stage as I shoved Jeff to the front to get some good pictures.
Because the class is so small (class of 9!) the principal actually shared where each person was going to college. It was here that she also announced that Andrew was selected as the class representative due to his Christian testimony.
Once all the names were called, it was Andrew’s big moment. He was in charge of the tassel turning and the closing prayer.
And then the CLASS OF 2011 made their way down the aisle!
Once we tracked him down, we went outside to take some pictures.
Andrew and his girlfriend, Raelynne.
Andrew and his mom.
The bro’s.
The whole family.
The prinicpal rounded all the students together. I snapped a picture and then shut off my camera. And totally missed out on the grad’s tossing their caps! I really contemplated asking them to recreate it…
Congratulations Andrew! We are very proud of you!
