This morning, we all piled in the car and went exploring through the city.
One request from Danny and the girls…to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Once on the other side, we pulled over to take some pictures. It was so windy & cold. The girls were excited until the first big gust they felt, and then it was just pure moodiness.
The poor nieces, so cold!
At least Kalea looked at the camera in this one.
We decided to head over to Lombard street to drive down the “most crooked street” in the city.
Yeah, I know, not the best picture.
One more stop for the day, Pier 39!
We walked to the back of the pier to eat at Bubba Gumps and passed right by the carousal. Don’t worry nieces, we’ll be back!
We got seated pretty quickly and had a really good table near the harbor.
Kalea enjoyed looking outside.
And then decided to climb the window? Yeah I don’t know what she was trying to do.
While the seat was a good one, the service was not so much. It took over 45 minutes for our food to come out & we were hungry! Thank goodness the food was so good when it arrived or Jeff would have had to say something.
Mine: a shrimp po’boy
Jeff: sampler plate
After the meal we walked back to the carousal and got suckered into not one, but two rides.
Ride number 1.
Ride number 2.
As we were walking on the pier, Kalea ran into one of her favorite people.
And then tried to rip out his teeth.
Kalea and Brooky each got these squishy teddy bear toys. Kalea got tired of holding hers and threw it in her hood to carry it.
And finally, to the thing the girls were dying to see since we mentioned going to the pier. The sea lions!
Now we are at home relaxing until dinner and waiting for Jeff and Danny to park the car. Some how though, they got side tracked and ended up on Chestnut St for a beer and Channel 4 interview. Seriously?
Stay tuned SF, Daniel to be on your TV soon.
