When planning what we were going to do, I had on my list – ride the bus. I figured the girls would enjoy hoping on and off the Muni as we made our way around San Fran. Little did I know how Kalea would react…
But before that, we had to eat lunch #2. Danny was still hungry and my mom’s stomach was growling, so we stopped at a burger place for some food.
I told Kalea to smile and this is what I got. Doesn’t she look thrilled?
After lunch, we caught the bus and headed back to the…Palace of Fine Arts. We ending up not making Ghirardelli nor Fisherman’s Wharf this afternoon. Instead the girls wanted to see the ‘birds’.
Once on the bus, Kalea’s love affair with public transportation began.
She ended up loving the bus!! All afternoon, she wanted to get back on the bus. She kept saying, “I gotta catch the bus!'” “What time is the bus?”
We arrived at the Palace of Fine Arts and walked around the entire thing, looking at the birds (pigeons), ducks and swans.
Kalea kept getting closer and closer to the water. Finally Mom grabbed on to her jacket just in case.
The swans!!
Fun Fact: Does the PofFA look familiar but you’ve never been to San Fran? Probably because you’ve seen a replica at California Adventure! They had a smaller version, but I think they turned it into the Ariel’s Under the Sea Adventure ride. Jeff-we need to go to check it out.
After our tour, we decided to head over to dinner. The girls quickly ate their spaghetti to enjoy the course they were looking forward to the most…DESSERT.
And then we ended the evening with Kalea’s new favorite thing…catching the bus.
